#233-4303 head studs for Chevy 2.8 run quite a bit cheaper than the SC version and they are a prefect fit. Early stock of the SC version were a tad too long and needed to be grinded down to allow the exhaust manifold to clear. The Chevy version always worked. Last I've heard the SC ones are the right length now, but they are still priced higher than the Chevy ones. Why, who knows?
ARP fasteners are always reusable due to the steel used. The nuts should be lubed when fastened to ensure proper torque is applied to ensure proper stretch.
