Hi guys, I just have a question about options on an SC. I have recently purchased a '91 SC 5-SPD Black on Black Leather. The car has no moonroof, no power antenna, no keypad(keyless entry), no lighted sunshade mirrors, no cornering lights. The car does however have leather, dual power front seats, JBL sound with sub and cd, and the VMM.
I have owned 8 SC's and they all had moonroofs, keyless entry, lighted sunshade mirrors, power antenna, and all but one had the cornering lights.
Is it rare to have these options stripped off?
I had to look long and hard to find a car with these options, I didn't want the moonroof or the keypad entry and the car had to be a 5-SPD. My search is over. The car comes with a recently rebuilt tranny and a brand new FORD clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. There is a new DIS module in the box in the trunk, as well as both lower control arms, fuel filter, botttle of SC fluid and 2 repair manuals (1 chilton and one FORD service manual). The car has some small rocker issues under the skirts but I will be replacing those with fresh metal over the winter. The body is near perfect, the only rust is on the hood from stone chips, easy fix. The seats look almost brand new, no rips, and just a slight(almost not visible) amount of scuffing on the drivers side bolster.
All this and I managed to pick the car up for $450 including all of the new parts/manuals in the trunk. I will get some pics up soon.
