Happy Thanksgiving!
I don't know if you saw my thread in the non-tech forum. But, I'm resigning my T-bird to be my complete project car now. My tranny is making my car unreliable as a daily driver and the A**hole of a company that I bought it from isn't doing anything to correct there flawed tranny they sent me. I will fix it. So, last weekend I bought a '97 Buick Regal GS, which has a 240 horse 3.8 Supercharged V6. It's the same motor that is in the Grand Prix GTP, Bonneville SSEi, Impala SS, etc, etc. It's pretty quick in stock form. And it has some cool luxury bells and whistles like heated leather seats, dual climate control, stereo functions on the steering wheel and other cool things that I havn't had in a car.
This will be my daily driver. Now I can go hog wild modding the SC and not worry about reliablilty...just horsepower :D
Later,
Anthony

It sure is weird thinking that this'll be our last Thanksgiving out here in Virginia. Deb & I were just talking about that earlier today. This week we FINALLY decided on the house we're building, & we ironed out all the structural options over the phone yesterday. The contract is written & enroute to us via Fedex, & should be in our hands tomorrow. The house is going to be almost exactly the same as the one attached (same exact colors) except the lot wouldn't accomodate the 3rd car garage, so we'll only have a 6' extension. Not that it matters, by next August my Super Coupe will have it's OWN garage!

Thanx. Homes like it are springing up all around central Indiana. It's weird seeing signs in front of new home communities out there that say "From the 100's". What few communities I see going up around here are from the 500's or 600's! The 3rd car garage is about a $7500 option, but like I said, it wouldn't fit on the lot we chose.

I was gonna ask how much...I remember you talking about moving there. I figured about 200k. You could build three of them out there for the price of one here...

Base price before any options is $160k. With everything we're putting on it it'll come to $220k, but the builder has a $10k special so we're down to $210k. Yeah, it'd be $450k+ out here.

That's what I paid for my house! Mike, what is the square footage of the house?

It's 2958 sq ft. Here's a link to the builder's web site: http://www.davishomes.com/comm_dp.aspx?comm_id=117
The community we're building in is called Copeland Farms in Greenfield, just east of Indianapolis. Floor plan is called the Thomasville. You have to register to view the floor plans, but it's free. (Just uncheck the box that tells them to send to more info!) If you look at some of the communities on other sides of the city you'll notice how houses just 20-25 minutes north or south cost 20-30k more. Greenfield is still inexpensive, & very nice. In the numerous trips we've taken there in the past year, I've only heard ONE ricer with a fartcan muffler & a subwoofer rattling my windows. My kind of place! :D

Here's the floor plans. One thing we did was move the washer & dryer upstairs into what used to be a walk-in closet for bedroom #2, & add the sliding door closet. Carrying clothes up & down stairs is a PITA, & we're not getting any younger!
