I raced an 85 5.0 Tbird. Wiped my you know what with it.
It had the red and blue F logo like Fila logo's. I know there was a Fila bird in the 80's. What was so special about it that it got it's own trim package?

1984 only deal. Looks like it got a nice upgrade in for the seats, and color keyed wheels? The seats actually look like TC seats done in leather.

Too bad it never worked. Thats why they are just about out of the sports apparel and Shoe business. I worked for them for 10 years and they made dumb ad mistakes and signing bumms like Grant Hill, Riddik Bo and some others freaks. They did well in the tennis area but what tennis player is going to run around in a pimped out Bird.

Add to that Saucany (sp) and New Balance for the die hard. In the 80's, I'd say Reebok and Nike were the two popular lines.

They actually made it to the number 2 spot in athletic stuff in 92. Of course Nike being #1 but than they dropped like a bomb. I started there and the stocks were $6 a share and they went to $108 in 8 months. They had the cars and other junk but ended up at $4 a share in 98.
The car was pretty cool looking for its time. Not my taste but a neat idea if you like that stuff.

Yeah that's the one, white wheels and everything. If it wasn't all rusted up it would have been a nice car.
I went to highschool with a girl who had one of those. I never got to look at it too closely but I remember the little F emblem on it now.
I thought she told me hers was an 85. Maybe I'm forgetting. I knew they were mid 80's.
