SC motor in lx fox stang

Was thinkin about seriously putting my 90 SC engine into one of those things..ill do it if everything is alright and wont leave me broke. so my question is what all will need to be done to the stang in order to make this sucker run? just the computer or what?? also the stang is an 88 lx 5.0 w/o motor and trans. i did a search but didnt find anything on what i was looking for ...just a ton of pages with the word mustang in them...sorry if this question has been brought up before i just didnt find it. Thanks in advance.

It's been done. Probably would run mid 13's stock with some good tires.

with gears I bet it could run high 12's, I runn a 14.04 with an almost stock SC motor in my 94 with stock open diff and 273 gears, one wheel peel. I did use slicks though. I am dropping in 373 gears and a t-lok all in an 8.8 rear end, with my slicks that should net me a mid 13 sec run. I would love to put one in a fox if I can get my hands on the chassis and motor, but one car is enough for me right now. With the lighter fox chassis( get the coupe not the hatch) I see 12's with a mildly modded motor and gears.

Oh yeah my car is also an auto.:D

Scott (lilredstang) has done this swap. It is pretty impressive. I haven't gotten a ride in it yet, but I was there for the dyno tune and it laid down some good numbers, of course his is modified, but I think he said he had it in there when it was just stock, not sure. Look him up on the boards and ask him any questions. He's a nice guy and I'm sure he is more than willing to help.

I know I have a vid of his dyno pull as well as mine and midgetchasers on one of my memory cards. I've been having car problems for awhile and haven't had a chance to get those vids posted.

Hopefully scott will chime in. But it seems to be a worthwhile project if you have both doner cars and have the ability to get it done.
