EGR Issues

A few months ago, the tube on my EGR cracked, so I had the bright idea to delete the sucker. I was able to borrow an EEC Tuner board from a friend of mine to try and get rid of the EGR codes so that the car will sneak past smog (fingers crossed on that one.) Anyway... I'm still throwing EGR codes.

The current code is 332 - EGR valve opening not detected.

I'm pretty positive that the EGR type has been set to None, so why would the computer still be throwing an EGR related code? My only thought is that maybe it's because the DFPE transducer is still connected? But even that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

The EEC is part of the W4D2 family (can't remember the exact catch code off the top of my head T4J1, I think.)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

hepl. car is a month for it's smog check. Already paid the registration fee so I've got no penalties coming... unless I get pulled over for bad tags. heh. >_<
