View Full Version : Closing up shop, immediately......

The time has come for us to move our focus toward other venues.

Effective immediately until stated otherwise, Blue Tongue Motorsports is closed. The BTM vehicle featured in 2 magazine articles has been sold and inventory dispersed. Anyone with pending business will have their transactions fulfilled in the near future. Aside from select parts to be posted at a future date in the classifieds forums, no further items will be available for purchase and I do not expect to be visiting the boards much if at all.

To the many wonderful friends we have made over the years, your friendship and support has been and continues to be greatly appreciated. To everyone, we wish you and your family happy holidays and a wonderful new year.

Sincerely,
Paul, Mandi and the rest of the BTM family

Thanks for all the good products and good luck on your next venue.

Another great loss to the SC community:(

What a year, 2 great suppliers closing up shop. Who's next?

Good luck with whatever you choose to persue next Paul. You've been a great help to me especially this past summer with my balancer problem. I will say it for all to hear, the only reason I made it to the shootout with my car able to race was because of Paul going above and beyond to send me one of his own personal parts to get me ready on time. He told me my new part would be available in time but when production delays occurred he sent me one of his own personal parts so that I could have my car ready in time. I had the car ready the night before the shootout, drove it to work to make sure it was running good, and then hit the road to Ohio after work. If it wasn't for Paul's generosity I wouldn't have had my SC at the shootout. If I would have made it at all I'd have been in my girlfriends Z24. It wasn't required that Paul do this, but he promised me that my car would be ready for the shootout no matter what and when something happened that was out of his control, he took the steps necessary to keep his promise. That right there is a stand up guy. He even found me at the shootout to see how things were going and to make sure I wasn't having any issues with the car.

Thanks again Paul, best of luck to you and Mandi.

This is unfortunate for the SC community. For me it is a stark reminder of just how fragile is the support network for these cars and why the need for solidarity among our members is more important now than ever. We are not competing with each other but rather competing together to help the SC survive.

Thanks for all that you have done in the past for the development of performance parts for the SC. I wish you success in all that you do.

Paul: Truly sad to see you go.

I'll never forget your help at the '05 shootout. Laying on the ground at the dyno shop pulling my IC so I could get it get repaired.

Thanks and fairwell.

Paul,
Sorry to see this post and I wish you well on your next venture.
Thanks you also for taking time to go "above and beyond" the call of duty for some of us.
You treated me very well at Carlisle and hand delivered me a DIS module when the "big scare" came (about 6 years ago).
Nobody else had these things then and you had a batch made up from a supplier and you gave a very fair price to those who purchased from you.

Take care,
Phil

Paul, a SC client told me about this the other day. If you see this send me an email and I'll call you, my cell doesn't work.

Sorry to hear you go, but may i ask why?

I have always said (regardless of venue), "when I no longer enjoy my job, whatever it may be at the time, I will move onto something else rather than be unhappy". For various reasons that I will not go into, I no longer enjoy designing, fabricating or selling parts for SCs.

I will say though that I have discovered a new hobby which I really enjoy that has taken its place and does not involve any retail so it will likely be something I persue for quite some time. It's louder, faster and more powerfull than an SC could ever acheive.

Thanks everyone,
Paul

It was good to have you around for the longest time. The SC community will certainly miss out on one of the 'Great-Ones', such as yourself. I remember you coming to the boards even before I bought my SC. That's gotta be something like a good 9-10 years. You even turned it into a business and made some great parts.

Thank you for personally helping me with my Centerforce Clutch II and T/O bearing when my stocker ~~~~ around 40K miles. This was back like in 03' or 04'. I'll also miss all of your great euphemisms that you threw into the conversations at Carlisle. ;)

I do hope that your new obsession makes you feel happy about what you are doing again. Who knows... maybe some of the knowledge gained in your new hobby would trickle back over to here huh? :confused
