Fault Codes

Hi, have a 1994 SC here in Ireland and recently the Check Engine Light came on. I referred to the Hayne's manual and checked the codes, ignition on, engine off and got;
114 - Air Charge Temperature Out Of Range
522 - Neutral Drive Switch Circuit Open
214 - Distributorless Ignition System Cylinder Identification Circuit Failure
543 - Fuel Pump Circuit Open; Battery to ECA
I then checked codes with engine running according to the manual (a bit confusing). I did this a no. of times to make sure but after a while 114 & 522 disappeared leaving only 214 & 543. The car does not seem to be running poorly and it takes maybe 20 seconds before the CEL comes on but it does every time. How do you erase codes - I want to check if these were one-off occurances and what are the common causes of 214 & 543 and how do you test the various related componentry. Thanks in advance lads.

Thanks I'll check that. Do you know how to erase fault codes.

Disconnect the battery for a period of time, or I think you can use the ecc connector and a paperclip to remove codes. Do a search and you'll find the exact info.
If you plugs or wires are old, you might want to change them because that can cause a code 214 too.
