Jim, I've never been one to speak up against you, but you're telling me you bought a 2000 Cobra R that's been sitting in a dealership since 2000? i find that hard to believe, since as soon as the Cobra R's came out, people were reselling them for like $60K.. i find it hard to believe that a dealership couldn't sell a Cobra R for 2 years.

According to my new Car & Driver Magazine the 2003 SVT Cobra is the fastest one yet. The Cobra R is quick though, I've seen some high 12's stock out of them and they claim the new SVT is 12.8-12.9 stock. We'll see...

Lets see some pics. I think I'd rather have a 2k3 SVT with a cd player, back seat, etc... but to each his own. I do like the looks of the Cobra R. But if it were up to me, I'd buy the body kit and build a replica out of a GT.

What get's me is that for the past 3 years Jim has bragged and said how fast he is going to be and on and on and on. The date has gotten pushed back for well over a year. He says the same thing over and over, but has yet to produce anything but running his mouth.

I was shocked and amazed that Jim was even out of high school. For more than a year I really thought he was a young punk that doesn't know his ~~~ from a hole in the gruond, and I am not even sure he still does.

If I talked crap about how fast my car was almost every day and never put up any #'s I would get the BS flag rasied with the quickness.

I just wish he would shut up and let the #'s speak for themselves, instead of running off at the mouth. A person that makes claims all the time and has nothing to show for it, proves to me that he is full of it.

Manny I gave you the benifit of the doubt, and you finally put up. Good for you man, you just can't shoot your mouth off and not show any proof. This IS the internet like you say and if you want to be a fat chick pretending to be a super model then be prepared to show some proof, or you will have absolutly no credibality. That is it period. If you don't have the proof then keep it inside until you are ready. It is no slight on you but you get the point, I hope. Jimmy has done this for as long as I can remember and has caused many problems to this BBS, and I don't think I need to remind anyone of that, but if I do then I will.

If you consider when Jim's original timeslip was run, I think that is pretty repectable. For the time he ran it at the track it was a pretty decent attempt that many to this day haven't reached.

Let's not be confused either, many people here don't want to get into the 13's never mind 11's, and they don't care to hear about the "HYPE" either! If this BBS was loaded with a bunch of competetive freaks, then I could understand why people would brag and insult their competition. My point being is that a year and a half ago I hated reading posts about this guy who thought he was the quickest and the fastest. I didn't care because my goal wasn't to beat him or anyone else. I wasn't in competition with him and he kept making me feel like I was! When people said they didn't care they'd be accused of being jealous!

Manny, your only pissed because when people get angry with Jim you feel your bitterness well up due to the criticism you received over your inverted SC theory. This has nothing to do with you. You had a theory and you came through for "THE CAUSE". That sets you apart!

In this community(BBS) these cars are maintained and driven by people who love them and make them their hobby. No-one wants to be forcefed a line of crap about a car that they have no interest in modifying! 90% of the people here run basically stock SC's and could care less about the strip. So the bragging does nothing but annoy people who haven't seen proof of this abstract 11 sec. rocket that is being sold to all of us. I think at this point the communtiy is getting tired of the medicine man's illegitiment potions that haven't proven anything in nearly a year an a half.

Jim,,,if making it to the 11's is all about you and I have to hear about it for another 5 years....do me a favor.......DON'T!
What we do here is to benefit one another. You can say you are doing it for us, but in fact it's all about you. It's all about YOU proving something. Many of us could care less about what you accomplish when it means you WILL NEVER share your tricks and tips with us. If you would share more, people might be interested in supporting you. But it seems like everything is a secret. You'd reach the 11's and then hoard all the information that would help individuals accomplich the same things you have. I'll never understand that.

I didn't write this to this to stir up another controversy. I have no anger directed toward either Jim nor Manny. I just figured I would voice my opinion ONCE AGAIN on this subject in an attempt to let people know how I feel.
