oil in intake - possibly solved!!

I believe I may have solved the oil in the intake by finding two leaks. I placed a charge on the installed intake and found a pedestal hole that had been drilled all the way through as well as a crack in a push rod hole.

After solving both of these, I placed the intake under a 10lb. vacuum and it leaks down very, very slowly. No signs of bubbles anywhere while under 20lbs. of pressure.

Question: Do intake valves, even new grinds, leak a very minor amount of air under pressure or are they supposed to be completely airtight?

Thanks! Larry
