1/4" play in steering

a little help here fellas...

I had tires put on the car and thought the steering had a little bit of play in it... so i asked them to take a quick peek while they were under there.

they said i had about 1/4" of play in it... i know that all of the front suspension was redone with new bushings, etc.. where would i start to check on this one? and how would i tighten it up, or should i take the car to the shop and have them do it for me?

It's more than likely a worn out inner tie rod. Get the car up in the air and wiggle the front tires to find exactly what is loose/worn.

yippie.... i shouldn't complain though, the SC has been really reliable and not broken down at all... yet... i'm sure i just jinxed myself.
