I have a set of 96 heads an curious if they are acceptable to use on my 93SC. I plan on doing a head job on my boneyard motor and would like to not have to wait (going on the assumption I floated a valve on current heads, and thats what shot the rod out the block).

i wouldnt. the SC specific heads are different from the N/A heads in alot of ways. mostly in strength and durability.

The later model N/A heads are suppossed to be improved over earlie rmodels...You may notice however they have one less intake bolt

I was under the impression it was only the valve stem diameter. Sc's being 8mm an NA's (96-99) being 7mm.

the 95 older heads have 11/32 valves.

the 96-04 3.8L heads have 7mm valves.

also the 96-98 heads have the 7mm valves. and they are short the one intake bolt down hole.

and as we all know the 99-04 mustang heads are split ports.
