I have looked at the post's concerning spark plug recommendations.
I was hoping someone could give me the latest part numbers to use.
I stopped by NAPA, and they came up with a AUTOLITE XP-5144.
Thats a new one on me---any advice?

They may have changed their part numbers recently, but I think I used Autolite APP-144s last time, which is a double platinum plug in the stock heat range. Worked great for me. Whatever you buy, make sure that it has platinum (or iridium) on both electrodes.

The recent stock plugs I bought were still Autolite APP-2544. I believe the XP-5144 are their new iridium plugs and probably worth getting (depending upon price of course). Denso iridiums are what - $20 now and NGK were around $8 last time I looked; so XP's under $10 would be good.

it all depends on what you have done to your car, what mods do you have and how does it run. If it is stock just stick with Autolite Double P's, If you have a slightly modified motor might want to run a little cooler plug. I switched from NGK iridiums to standard copper Autolite 103's. Didn't think they are worth the money. There is an FAQ on this in the members section, the $15 is worth the money to read the posts.

Thanks for the input!
Hope to have it back on the road next week.
I had no idea that head gaskets could rival open heart surgery.
