engine oil

Well there is a cap marked 710 if it is upside down and marked OIL if it is rightside up that is located on the valve cover. Just twist that off and then pour your oil in.

Also the oil comes out of the plastic jug when you screw the lid off. Just tilt it a bit and WHAMO out flows the oil!

Ohh wait a minute... you asked how HOT it got... hmmmmmmmm LOL

thanks scrapsc, at least now i know who not to talk to.

the reason im asking is because i have a crack in my oil pan. i will be replacing the engine soon with a reman from ford, so it really isnt a problem, except that the engine aint coming for about 2 months. so until then, i need something to get me over. i want to jb weld it, but i just wanted to make sure it wouldnt get too hot.

i went ahead and jb welded it, and damn, that stuff works miracles. unbelievable how strong that stuff is.

You are right.. JB weld can be a lifesaver at times. I have had to use it before when in a tight spot and it hasnt let me down. I had to use it on a buddy of mines plastic intake (4.6) until we where able to get on at a reasonable price to put on....
