Climate Control Lights

I have the standard climate control in my 90 Annie (not the electronic one). The front panel is illuminated, however none of the buttons are. I just have a hard time believeing that every one of the light bulbs is burnt out... What is my first step in troubleshooting this problem????

First remove the unit using 2 of the Ford 'U' shaped radio
removal tools, (or coathangers bent into U's).
Just pull it out and look on the top. There are two tiny bulbs that are located above the buttons. These 2 bulbs light up all 7 buttons. (One bulb lights up 4 buttons, the other bulb handles 3 buttons).
They twist in similar to the bulbs on the rear of the instrument cluster, but smaller.

Mine are out too, the final one died the other day. They arent known for living a long time so they are both probably out. I think I read something about radio shack for the bulbs?
