93 5sp - Stock Long Block

I'm at 19-20 psi.

BTW, how much boost your making doesn't matter nearly as much as how much air your moving thru the motor.

That says it all. Too much boost is not necessarily a good thing either! But fwiw, I usually get about 22-23 psi. I'd rather get less.

I find it strange, that even after hooking up an aftermarket boost gauge just to be safe, I still see 16-17lbs of boost with only 3% O/D on a '94 blower. Any help here?

Exhaust is as free flowing as it's going to get. Besides the compression rings on the manifolds. :p

You thinking you should be getting more? Our '94 gets about 13 with an S-Port and a 5% JS pulley. Full mod list available below.

No, that just seems like an awful lot, since it is slightly ported..has a free flowing exhaust, etc.

Cats are hi-flow with very little mileage, so I doubt it's clogged. Not really seeing power issues, but just to be sure, I'll post a video of a WOT run

on the dyno at precision I had 21.62psi at approx 5000rpm. I 'm sure the stock heads had alot to do with it. when stock it was able to peg the gauge though that does not seem to mean much. I currently pop the dipstick out of the tube and spray oil into the CAI I have an MPX with 25% od

I'm making 10psi around 5k with 10%OD, GTP coated rotors, and a port job on an early model, but my Dayco poly-cog is slipping hardcore. Hopefully when the MP tensioner springs go in I'll be somewhere close to 15.

Boost pressure is a function of throttle position (if it's not floored forget about it), engine rpm (stock motors will reach max boost at max rpm, modded motors will typically reach max boost at about 4000rpm), and vehicle speed. The faster you are going the higher the boost will be.

That being said with an MPX @ 25% OD I'm seeing 23.5psi at max rpm on a mostly stock motor. My MAP sensor tends to read low, sometimes as much as 1psi compared to other sensors/gauges. Don't know who is right.

15 psi - 10% OD on an MPx and 15psi on my built 1990 5-speed
15 psi - 10% OD on an unported stock blower on my stock SC auto

Not enough OD on that new SC. 25% and than tell me its fast:D

That's right, 27 lbs with slipping going on as well. I just put another guage on it that was tested before install to see if it was on the $$$ and it is.
Setup, MPX, coated rotors,M.P.s' 10 rib setup with springs. and all the od that Charles could get me... Going thru kook's long tubes, no cats and Borla stainless exhaust..
This boost is at WOT at max rpm's... This will be some kind of a test to see how long the engine stays together with all this boost that is for sure.. I do know that if I drive like my age I can keep the boost down to almost nothing if I really try.. Sure it can be done, but it is not much fun that way....Rich
