Well I finally took the plunge, and against my better judgment I might add. TxSC, I took your advice on one, and I bought one as a project car. Well rather my gf bought one that was mint, and I bought one that needs synchros and some other things. Mine is a 94 black manual, and hers is a 93 red auto. I bought the black one from 94blacksc here on the site. After many issues and bs, and money both are now back in austin tx. I also signed up and paid to become a member, so i am excited about that. It is good to own a thunderbird again, I love the way they drive.

koo, thanks. actually im currently trying to figure out why after replacing the fuse to the radiator fan the fan still wont turn on. I can spin the fan easily with little effort with the car off, but the car will overheat sitting still due to the fan not spinning.

First, if you have a wiring diagram you can unplug the fan connector and apply power to the fan to check both the low & high speeds. If it runs you might have a bad ECT sensor. If you know anyone with a code reader, pull the codes and see if there is one for the ECT sensor. It might also be the IRCM. It houses the relay for the fan.

Was the fuse you replaced blown? If so, definitely check the fan itself to see if it works. You may have an internal short in the fan motor that blew the fuse.

the fuse was not blown, but both fans come on when i turn on the ac...leads me to believe there is an issue with something other than the wiring or the fan...how would I go about jumping the fan to see if it will run at lo and high speeds?

check the ECT sensor, like TSC89 said.

The system is designed to turn both fans on when the A/C is on. I only have diagrams for the 89 SC's and I know the 94's are different. Try using the "Search" feature in the "electrical and the "technical" forums. Maybe someone has already posted the info you need. Possibly start a new post there.

Good times! Sounds like it will be a good project car! :)
I have a 94 FSM and EVTM if there's something you'd like me to look up.
