More than a few of us received some WOT dyno tuning for our T-Birds today, thanks to Dave Dalke and the folks at DaSilva Racing in Scarborough. I thought I would start one thread for all those wishing to share their results.
My car was second on the rollers this morning (after Matt Leskiw) and after much heckling from Dave regarding the terrible under-use I'm putting that motor through that he built for me, I got what I feel are very respectable numbers, especially considering I'm still running an early style blower and plenum that has had nothing but some porting thanks to Ryan Harris.
In the end, Dave managed to get 290.34 RWHP at about 4,600 RPM, and 378.18 ft lbs RWTQ at about 3,100 RPM as my best results of the day.
Yes, Dave, I know I need way more blower, and bigger injectors, and a better IC, maybe some alcohol injection, and... The list just never seems to end. ;)
I've attached my dyno chart here. Once again, thanks Dave for all your hard work. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is very pleased with the results!
To show you some contrast, the attached chart shows two pulls. The lower numbers were actually the second pull that Dave made, but there was a problem with the dyno and so the actual first pull wasn't recorded. Those numbers are really with everything heat soaked, and without any special WOT tuning. The higher numbers were for the fifth pull, after a little cool-down time, and after Dave tweaked the file on the new SCT Chip. We didn't employ any icing down of the IC plumbing, IC, blower top, etc. Remember this is with a stock, single core IC. Obviously, Dave is able to squeeze an improvement out with tuning, given that the numbers rose about 16 HP and 15 ft lbs by the last pull.
I've got some movie clips of Matt's car, my car, Bruce's car, and Steve Pathay's car on the dyno. Does anyone have the ability to host these for us and post a link here for everyone? I can try to send them to whoever may be able to help with this.
I had a blast today, and it was really great to see everyone who was there!
Cheers,
Sean

Jamie,
The list of mods is too long for here. I have updated the list on my SCCoA Member's Page, and you can find the link for that in the header of each of my posts, near the left hand side.
The files are too large to email. I signed up for my own YouTube account, and I'm trying to upload the vid for one of my pulls now. If it works, I'll post a vid of one of Matt Leskiw's pulls, one of Bruce Burns' pulls, and one of Steve Pathay's pulls.
Thanks,
Sean

Yes, Thanks to Dave and DaSilvas (and those that co-ordinated this event).
I ran a 354/411 as a best. That's Gregs MPII and a stock pulley. Should be able to add a few more ponies when I get the MPX on therem and overdrive it more.
The car runs good now that Dave did his magic.
I have vids of my car on the dyno and will try and post it tommorrow. I also have a few other assorted pics from today and yesterday at Ed's that I'll get posted when I get a few minutes.
My car went through a bit today. First I hit the steel bollard at DaSilvas shop entrance leaving a nice wound on the side of the car and then I almost made it home before shreading the drive belt. CAA brought me home.

My car pretty much made 300RWHP~344RWTQ
The mods on the car are:
-larger MAF, TB & Injectors
-SCI Jackshaft
-AR KIt
-Snow Kit
This was also through a stock single IC.
Dave had the timing at 22* and mentioned once we get the boost down he can probably move that to 30*. That plus a better IC should net close to 350RWHP.
Not bad for a car thats never had the vavle covers off. I am more than pleased with the resluts of the AR kit and must thank Dave for an excellent job done on tuning the car.

Was nice to see your car after all this time. I was happy with the numbers I pulled. About 1/2 of Sean's numbers. 175.09 and 239.5. Car runs great Ran it hard both ways today.
I hope everyone had good numbers.

Awesome numbers, Steve! Did you scan your dyno chart yet? I was thinking it would be cool to have as many of us post up the charts here as possible. Then people looking to aim for similar performance from their SC's can ask the right people the right questions.

Yes, it does, Payton. For some reason, there is a major lag between when YouTube says the file is uploaded and available, and when it actually allows you to see it. That's why in my first post for posting a vid above, I edited it and mentioned it takes some time before the link works.
All of the vids I posted should be working fine now.

Apologies to Matt and Sean. I came to late to DaSilva's, didn't have a chance to take some pictures of your cars.
Yeah, about nice collection: w had 8 car's Dyno tuned yesterday...what a difference from last year, when only Ryan showed up... Anyhow, I just realize that out of 8 cars, at least 6 had a paint job done, 4 had aftermarket rims...

Well, I didn't quite make the numbers I thought I would but I do know what I need to get there now. My best numbers where 270 hp and 322 ft-lbs of torque.
I'm running 42# injectors and Dave said they are hitting close to 100% duty cycle at 4900 rpm, so an upgrade to 60#'s should be 1st on my list. Still running the stock intercooler so time to change that. He also mentioned I should probably go to an aftermarket torque convertor.
Oh yea, I cleared the Dyno shop because my exhaust was so loud, had everyones ears ringing. (currently running 2 hiflo cats into 2 1/2 inch single exhaust with a Dynomax muffler) I dropped in at GT Custom exhaust in Pickering before the dyno and I'm going to get a dual exhaust setup soon, so should be a little quieter next time.
It was great seeing everyone, and again, THANKS to Dave for taking the time to get my car hooked up, (did 6 runs on the dyno) and for giving me a list on where to spend my money next...

Hey Sean, did that dyno pull of my car work out?, if so can you get that up when you have time. What about that sweet camaro SS and WS6 bird on the way home from the dyno, both of them gave us thumbs up lol. I later gave them a little hint of the blower, got a grin from ear to ear from the WS6 owner. I pulled it on the dyno and Dave put down 259 hp and 350 tq, he had to lean it out as it was going rich after about 15 mins he put down 265, then quickly tweaked it and ran 5 mins later and put down 267hp and 368tq i think, I will post the dyno chart when I get back home as Im still at the GF's, Im hoping on a cold pull she would put down 275-280, not bad for stock block, but my new 42 pound injectors are running 90% duty cycle, so next for me will have to be injectors, cam, heads if I want to obtain my solid 12's. Once again a big thanks to Dave, and Ed of course, this hopefully will get me lower into the 13's then 13.7, Payton watch out ;)

Here's a vid I shot of Bruce's car on the dyno. Sorry it took so long to get this posted, Bruce, but it seems to take forever to upload the videos to YouTube. I got about three done last night before I had to hit the sack. I had to work this morning, and then right after that we had a b-day party for Noah and his friends at a local indoor soccer dome, so I haven't been home until just recently today.
Anyway, here ya go, pal.

To those who would like a copy of their videos, it's unfortunately not going to be possible via email. These files are just too large. ...And I don't have an ftp site of my own to post the files on. I'm not sure how we can get copies to you, other than wasting a 700 MB CD ROM on a 40 to 60 MB video file for each of you. Any ideas?
