I believe it's just what it sounds like ... cleaning up all the crap and debris leftover from the winter season. So you go down early to help out, and then get to race for free that day.

Well that makes sense. Free labor. What could be bad.

I was also just curious if it was a code or something you guys use "north of the border" so us illegals don't invade your tracks ;)

No chance you can look at it on Saturday? Would be nice to see a few guys out. Weather looks to be nice. Anyone who is going, please contact me and maybe we can set up a meet.
Jean, if you can make it on Sunday, let me know. I just might remember to get you your DS.

Hey Matt - Just to verify - Can we actually run the track between 9 and 11? I can wagon train down with you early on Sunday but need to be back by early afternoon.

I am working on looking at this car on Sat. So I may still make it out. The SC isn't track worthy yet, it needs some trans parts. But myabe the new car needs a "base" time......;)

Its about 3 hrs drive from my place so if your gonna go, we need to leave early. (166.77 miles). I will PM you my home phone number. I will be home after 8 tonight and after 8 on Thursday and maybe we can work something out. I am pretty sure you can run most of the morning, but dont quote me on that.

I may try to meet up with Matt and Jim somewhere along the 401. Wouldn't mind trying out the MPIII before I put all the other crap in the car.

Going today. Looks like awesome weather today as well.

Drove down with Jim. Was a beautiful day. Jim did a few runs. Nothing broke. I did 8 runs. Nothing broke. Jean did a few runs, trannies f****d I think.
My car ran flawlessly. Had my first run over 90mph in the old bird. Beat on her hard all the way home. New tyres are sweet.
JFTHOI-best run of 15.53, with a 2.20 60ft, at 90.71mph.

Payton

What was Jim's time? His car could be really fast at the track.

Jean, what happened?

drummerzrok24
04-23-2007, 09:00 AM
Syncros are gone in the tranny! Not fun! Ah well.. after that, I just learnt to 60ft the car a bit better.. since it didnt want to go into 2nd or 3rd.

JT93SC
04-23-2007, 10:44 AM
We'll my best run of the day was a 14.2 @ 96 mph. My 60ft times were around 2.2 so I'll have to improve those. When the car went to shift from 1st to 2nd it seemed to briefly cut out, but continued on once in 2nd and was smooth through 3rd and into OD.
Not sure what that might be, almost seems like a rev limiter or ignition problem. WHERE'S Dave when I need him...
Had a great ride down with Matt and it was good to meet John and his buddies from Windsor.. (His buddy Nevin ran a 12.9 in a Dodge - SRT-4)
Also was talking to a guy from down around St Thomas who had his wife's 2001 mustang - he ran a 14.4..Not bad for stock.
Anyway, I guess I have some work to do before the next Track Day.

Jim, turn off the OD.....

Also, what tires were you running? Get some ET Streets or something to help get that 60' time down.

...Sometimes I regret having upgraded to the Cobra rear brakes. I don't think any 15" rims will clear them now.

Well, I see where you coming from, man. But on the other side, you are a family guy and you drive with your kid quite often as I understand from your posts...so, in this case, safety is your first priority. Also, how often do you go to the track? Exactly! It's all good, Sean. You always can get some 16"-17" rims and throw some drag tires on them!

Jason Wild

that's right! You guys have to step in and beat my time this year. Your car, Sean, should be faster then mine last year, same goes to Bruce, Jim, Steve P. and Steve R, Ed and of course Paul B.
