Just got off the phone with Joe DaSilva who runs the big event which we are holding the V6 Ford Challenge in conjunction with. Got some details on the race so here it is.

*Race is Fri-Sun Aug 24-26th, our race will be held Saturday Aug 25th. If you want to go Friday there will be tons of test and tune to be had so try and plan for the whole weekend, we wont' be racing on Sunday but stay if you want to watch the finals of the big dogs.

*There was a screw up with entry fee's last year and we had to settle it at the end of the day, this caused some people not to race. This year you pay to enter the garte and you basically get a free tech card, so anyone even watching will be able to race at no extra charge, final pricing is not available yet, but it won't be bad at all, I mentioned how the gate pass was like $50 last year and he said it will be cheaper then that so looks like racing may be CHEAP this year. Stay tuned for more info there.

*I also confirmed we will get some sort of Magazine coverage, either in the race article or a separate coverage in Joe's personal column in Modified Mustangs, he has no problem with that, I'll work on more details with him as time gets closer.

*Joe is gonna help out with prize money as well, he is happy to help, he also says the more cars we get the more he will give us

*Last year the rain really screwed things up so it didn't run as smoothly as it should of, thus less runs etc etc. This year he is hiring staff to work the event, instead of relying on his people to organize things, track stuff will be done by the track of course, but organising everything else will be much better. Running such a large event is not easy and he hasn't done it in years since his old JP Shootout days.

*The 300MPH jet car is coming again, along with confirmed attendees Billy Glidden and Chuck Samual, so the big dogs will be exciting to watch again.

*Saturday they are having bands at night so lots of entertainment

I plan on getting the website up and running soon, so stay tuned for that as well.

I also have some surprises up my sleeve for this years race, nothing huge but some little things to add to the race to make it more enjoyable for everyone. You'll have to come to the race to find out though
