I bought a C&L 85MM tuner MAF a couple years ago..
I havent found any info on the C&L website or from
the place I bought it from.

For this MAF ,is there different sample tubes to match
injector size?

I think teh tuner MAF should have come with a transfer function curve which you would then input into your tuning software. It isnt a plug and play item

I have the transfer function for that meter but to use it you will have to knock down your injector size, breakpoint, and engine displacement by 50% and then it will require tuning. I've used that meter successfully before but it definitely not a plug and play unit.

You can install different sample tubes in it but it's still a little bit guessing. I would start with a blue tube for 42lb injectors and see how it goes from there. If that comes close then you will be able to run it with your existing tune.

I will be doing some testing with 42lb injectors and that meter over the summer and when I get some hard data as to what sample tube works best I'll let you know. If you want to try something now I would suggest the blue tube.

When I bought the MAF, I thought then that I would not need to switch
sample tubes,(its a tuner MAF). I wasent sure its been laying around and
I just wanted to make sure what I had,(forgot I am getin old). I was
wanting to make sure of what I have. So I could write some notes to
put in the box. Before I put it back in storage after polishing...

It has a L shape sample tube. Not the normal straight blow though
sample tube.I am not so sure that a normal straight blow-though
sample tube found on a 76mm C&L MAF bolts flush to the inside
curve of a 85mm C&L Tuner MAF.

Thanks for the info Randy

The sample tube that is in the meter is not meant to be changed, but it is meant for a late model car that can accept a wider range of output than what our cars are capable of reading. There are work-arounds for this but they are not simple. This is why you can't just import the flow data into your software and run it.

The simplist fix is to use a sample tube designed for the smaller meters. Kevin is doing this on his car and it is working ok. I have talked with C&L about doing this and they said that while that is not the planned way to use the meter, it should work ok. They were concerned that with a stock motor the airflow through such a big meter might be slow enough that it might not be stable. I've not had any issues with the 80MM MAFs so I think the 85MM will work decently too but no one has tried it on a stock motor yet.

I bought the C&L 85mm Tuner MAF to use on a built motor.
But I like to test all my parts on a stock motor. Then box
them up for later use on a built motor.

Over the years I have been buying for two motors ,not just
a stock one.. And the final use of this 85mm C&L TUNER MAF
Will be used along with #60 injectors.

C&L years ago told m ethat the 80mm flowed better then the 85....I dunno..But if anyone wants an 85 I'd gladly trade it for a 76 :O)
Its an 85 with no tube

I've also got a C&L 85mm tuner MAF (with "L" shape tube) that I'm not using anymore. If anyone is interested let me know.

I could trade ya! Then my computor desk would look balanced .
A shinny paper weight on each end. :)

Or you could trade me a C&L 80mm MAF for my 85mm C&L MAF.
Then you would have matching 85mm C&L MAFs desk-end....
