I bought a non-varible PS pump. it has the connections for the EVO valve....is it a variable or what? will i have any issues with it if i just connect it up and drive?

if it has the connection chances are its variable... as long as it mounts with out rubbing anything hook it up and feel how it feels

if you can hook up the evo valve then it's definitely a variable assist pump because the hookup for the line on a non variable is different so that you purposely can't use the wrong pump, kinda fords way of helping out us dummies...lol

I've used both pumps. When I installed a 5.0 in an SC all I did was swap in the EVO and it worked fine.
