Would a voltage drop trigger a CEL? I've had underdrive crank and water pump pullies for some time now. Today I installed the alternator UD pulley. I noticed fluctuations in my voltage but it doesn't go down too far unless I'm running a lot of accessories. I took it for a drive and while coasting or sitting at idle, the CEL light would come on along with a voltage drop. I'm almost positive that the drops are due to belt slippage so I'll be working on that issue. the CEL has me a little worried though cause my car never throws codes.
