For Sale - $3000.00
1990 Ford Thunderbird SC, 5 Spd, Black

For sale is a 1990 Thunderbird SC – I bought this car new in August of 1990. I have been the only owner. Routine maintenance has been done on the car, plus some other work as noted below. It comes from a smoke-free environment and has been garage kept for most of its life. It has approximately 91K miles on it. As a used car, it does show some signs of wear and tear – there are some scratches in the paint, there are door dings on both sides (if anyone can tell me how to stop these I would appreciate it :-() and there are a few rust bubbles starting on the car, specifically around the wheel wells and on the nose. The car has been my daily driver for most of its life, so it hasn't been sitting around in a garage. As a daily driver, I keep it in good running order, and has always passed the Illinois EPA tests. Included in the sale of this car are the original owners manuals, the original tape-deck cleaning package, extra steering wheel, and a nose bra. Photos of the Thunderbird (and a glimpse in the garage of why I'm selling it) can be found at http://new.photos.yahoo.com/hantunca/albums. The car is located in the Chicago area. This car is sold as is. If you have any questions regarding this car, please feel free to contact me at hantunca@yahoo.com.

Options
supercharged 3.8L V6
black exterior, interior and trim
cloth seats
5 speed manual transmission
JBL premium sound system with in-dash CD and cassette deck
moonroof
Michelin Pilot Sport 225/60 ZR 16 tires (2 years old)
power driver seat
keyless entry
power antenna

Problems
headlights flicker on and off after having them on for a couple of hours – I've been told that this is a common problem with Thunderbirds from this era, and it is related to the wiring not being able to handle the load.
Passenger side window does not operate – this requires replacing the plastic bearings in the gear that raises/lowers the window – I did this for the drive side window. This is a pretty easy DIY job and costs less than $50.00.
Driver side front speaker not working.
Hand brake no longer works.
Cover surround for moonlight switch missing.
Button knob for power driver seat missing
heat shields around catalytic converter are no longer they as they rusted off.
Interior rear view mirror is not attached to window – just needs to be glued back on – the original mirror comes with the car.
Subwoofer speaker makes a popping sound

Work Done
oil changed and replaced on schedule
rotors and brakes replaced (around 1991)
water pump replaced (around 1996)
right hand side valve cover replaced, spark plugs and wires replaced, rear differential fluid replaced (1996)
oil pan gasket replaced, power steering pump and line replaced, fuel filter replaced, front steering and suspension bushings replaced, air-condition refrigerant recharched (2002)

Good seeing you on Friday too. I forgot to mention that I also have the shop manual and electrical manuals for the car, as well as some extra parts such as a clutch pedal cylinder, oil filters, etc. All of this will be included in the price as well.

Here are some pictures of the rust spots around the wheel wells. In the other pictures I posted, the rust bubble on the nose can be sized by the thunderbird logo. Please let me know if this is OK for you. Sorry for the glare on the measuring tape.
