EGR Deletion

Hello gentlemen! I could use a little advice and wisdom from the pro's. My project is an 89 5spd SC drive line going in a 97 chassis. I bought long tube headers without the EGR adapter, and am putting a MP inlet on the back of a 94 blower. My plan here is to run EGR delete, but how do i avoid getting a check engine light? I have a non-EGR EEC from a 91 auto (still in the car) at my disposal, if that is my best plan of attack. Thanks for your help fellas,

Kurt

OK, so I'm getting a little smarter, just not quicker:D I did a search, and it looks like if i leave the electronics hooked up, I'm golden. Is that still the best route?
Thanks again, Kurt

thanks for the reply, David! I guess I'll leave the EEC and try to trick it. I'm just trying to eliminate a bunch of possibilities for a light before i get to the point of fire. I'm a little concerned because of all that's changing.
Thanks, Kurt
