got my latest issue of muscle mustangs and fast fords today, and there was an article about extrued honing in there. I've heard a lot about it, but never knew really anything abuot what it was and how it works. has anyone on here had their heads/intake done?? if so what are the results, from what I read the results are better than hand porting, but short of CNC, and a LOT cheaper than CNC

I have a set of heads and an intake manifold that were double extrude honed! SAVE your money, its not worth it! Extrude honing is done by forcing a gritty putty type substance through the ports and passages. The process works real well with cleaning up 2 stroke motorcycle ports but is a waste on any large engine. Extrude honing is not anything new, they started out in the early 80's doing MX motorcycle cylinders.
