Why did you replace your climate control unit? I'm having a problem with my ECC. Fan won't blow. Fuses in engine compartment and dash are okay. Hoping to learn from you experience.

What happened with me Keith is that all of a sudden one day while Nicholas owned the car he said it suddely became stuck on defrost and none of the dampers would move.

I ended up changing the control panel as a trouble shooting thing but once I bought that one from the wreckers I kind of owned it.

It turned out to be a severed vacuum line behind the supercharger causing no vacuum to the control panel but the fan always worked. Apparently when there is a failure in the control unit it defaults to defrost and stays there so you can at least get that much out of it.

In your case it is possible that the fan switch has croaked and that's why your fans is not coming on.

Thanks Les. Hitting the fan motor with some good ol American know-how (Estwing) didn't help either. It appears I'll be doing a bit more trouble shooting.
