Clogged cats SUCK

well I had been noticing a rattle in the drivers side cat, I assumed it was the heat shield as they all rattle on all the birds ive had. Well after seeing bubbles in the overflow and smelling a horrible carbon burnt egg stench around my car when idling, I find out the cat is glowing red and apparently broken up inside. It was sluggish the last few times I drove it, but I attributed the heat. I believe its been taking a toll on my 150K mile head gaskets and they are just starting to seep compression into the coolant. My oil isnt milk shakey yet, but did have a few bubbles on it last time I checked and stunk like axle grease. Guess that gives me an excuse for a rebuild sometime in the future. But for now its parked (flushed the oil first :) Funny thing is it runs great right now, but thats how it goes.

Cut off or replace the cats, flush the coolant and put in some sealer to maybe save whatever is left of the head gaskets and motor on!
