SOLD SOLD SOLD
95 SC, Black, 5 speed, Grey Leather, sunroof. Bumpers were peeling and I had them repainted last summer. Odometer stopped at 127, 322 miles. That was last summer or fall. I seldom drive the car because I have difficulty using the clutch because of my disability. I'm guessing the true mileage on the long side at 135,000. New Brakes, new belts, new upper control arm, new radiator, new idle bypass valve, new Alpine MP3 CD deck, new clutch, new shocks and struts, new EGR valve 2 (I thought this had resolved the Check Engine Light issue but discovered while on a test drive about 2 weeks ago (when first posted) that the light still comes on and the code says insufficient flow on EGR.I have not been able to resolve this.. The car runs great, has no rust and one small tear at the seam in the drivers seat, look at the second set of pictures. $3600. Any questions, I will try to answer promptly. I had several offers when first posted but felt I should address the CEL issue before going any further.Price reduced $3300. The car is located in Kansas City, MO.

Monday 28th I am closing the sale of this car until I have resolved the problem with the check engine light and the EGR. I hope to re post this car soon. I don't want to sell anyone a problem. Thanks for your offers and questions about the car.
Ted
WOW MUCH WILL U SELL IT FOR WITH THOSE PROBLEMS?

I haven't had a chance to deal with this this week. My youngest graduated from High School and we just finished sending the last guest home from the party. I just had too much to do getting ready for all this. The car is located in Kansas City, Mo. I am going to replace the EGR sensor tomorrow if I can find one. If one of you want to buy it with the check engine light unresolved, let me know. I was asking $3600, make me a reasonable offer.

Two members of this site have just made me aware of information I didn't know about. CarFax reports that my SC was in an accident with damage on 12-15-05. I owned the car at that time and I am unaware of any accident, yet alone, one with damage. I did have both bumpers painted last summer because the paint was peeling, not because of damage. I'm not trying to pull off something here. That is way I pulled the information for a couple weeks when I discovered the EGR flow problem causing the check engine light to come on and as I stated I was unable to resolve that problem. I believe in the truth, even in used cars.
Sincerely,
Ted
Even if it means no one wants the car.

I'd call carfax and make them take that shiz off then. If it wasnt in a wreck, then it wasn't in a wreck.

Sadly my son told me this morning he was in an accident while driving the Bird (he was 19 at the time and probably thought I would take away . He was stopped at a light (#1), The car behind him (#2) was stopped too. The next one (#3) didn't quite make the stop. #3 collided with #2 and pushed 2 into 1. #1 was not damaged, thus I didn't hear about it, 2 and 3 were badly damaged where they met. I have looked under the rear of the car and can see no damage. I'm at Robs this morning (owner 2) and he said the original owner leased the car which explains the fleet marker at CarFax. He bought it with about 20000 miles on it and I bought it from him with about 115,000 miles. I have known Rob for 27 years, he is now 39.

like the carfax said.. there was only minor damage on it. i trust your word man. i'm busy saving up cash for this or something like it. so good luck with the sale!
and out of respect, i wanted to talk to you about what the report said before i posted the accident publicly. you needed a chance to figure out the situation.

I've just had someone look at the car for a potential buyer from Texas. This guy used to work in body shops. He pointed out that the Left front fender has been off and that the hood had been painted at some point. He said that what ever was done, it was minor. I called the last owner and he told be the hood was repainted by the distribution center before the original dealer ever got the car. That is probably why the bolt and washer on the fender aren't aligned with the paint marks from the factory. This is all new information to me as of 11:30 AM CDT today, July 12th.

Has anyone smoked in the car?
Any pictures of the underside?
Is there any rust on the sub-frame, floor pans or frame?
Are you willing to meet in St. Louis?
Other than the CEL are there any other items that will need attention in the future?
Thanks
Doug

I'm sorry, I don't have any pictures of the underside of the car. There is no rust . There are no other problems that need to be fixed, but the car is 12 years old. Sorry, I cannot drive it to St. Loius. Because of my disability, I'm only good for about 1 1/2 hours by my self. Using the clutch just kills my leg and I would not be able to bring my power wheelchair. Sorry.
Ted
I have WIFI at the campground I'm at on vacation until tomorrow night if you want to reply.
