need help fast problem with idling..kinda long

ok heres my problem....i have a 91 thunderbird 3.8L non SC....i changed my valve cover gaskets and my transmission filter yesterday....and i sprayed engune degreaser on my motor to clean it up then hosed it off but i cover up everything that i should have...ok no since i did all that my car idels up alot higher then it use to....right now when i start my car it idels up between 2000-2500 rpm and when i put it in driver it takes off on its own and speeds up on its own i dont have to give it gas...and when i unhook my throttle position sensor and my idel goes down but my engine light comes on....can someone please help me.!!!

whats a IAC???? and how much will it cost?? im young and dumb when it comes to these things!! so please bare with me
