I've got an AOD from a parts car that I just removed and somehow (I think through the filler tube hole) a quart or so of rainwater ran down into the oil pan. I'm not sure how the water got in there, since it was in the car with the hood mostly shut...but it did! What I was wondering is what I should look for to see if it is ruined or not. I have the oil pan off and the valve body off and everything that I can see looks rust-free. The transmission is out of an SC that was rear-ended about 6 years ago and it has sat since then. Also, it supposed has a shift-kit installed, but I'm not sure how to check whether or not it does.
Any ideas, tips? Should I use it or not use it? My silver SC lost OD a few months ago, and it needs to get back on the road!
