Just a heads up, when I was asking questions about gear changes on the tech board and one person said that some people on the Ontario board may be looking to change the gears from 3.27's to 3.08's as well. I bought a set and he has two more available Here's a like to some inexpensive ones on ebay new take offs.

Thanks for the link on that, but I'll mention that I'm kinda leery about the description ... are they Ford take-out OE gears, or are they Richmond ? Ford gears are not manufactured by Richmond as far as I know, and I have heard of people having noise troubles with Richmond ring & pinions in 8.8" Ford diffs.
cheers

Eric,
Are you planning to attend the SCCoO BBQ at Greg's place in Mississauga this Sunday? I'd love to give you the money and pick up my gauges.
Best regards,
Sean

Ed - They are not Richmond gears they are factory OEM I emailed him back just to make sure. It cost me $54.99 with delivery just for anyones information. Seems like a good guy replies right away.
Hey Sean, No I am working all weekend but would like to meet up with you guys sometime. The guages are still here collecting dust, whenever, not a big deal although I know you probably wouldn't mind getting them sometime.

Eric,
I would certainly like to get those so that I can install them. It would be the third interior mod that I've completed (the replacement head unit (stereo) being number one and the cup holder thing being number two).
It looks like I should be in town for a couple of weeks now at least, so hopefully an opportunity will avail itself soon enough.
Best regards,
Sean

I have mentioned this idea on the boards several times.
I like the 3.27s for many reasons, but would still consider the swap to 3.08s. I actually have a set sitting on the shelf in the basement waiting for the day I test them out to develope a true preference between the two.
The around town acceleration and torque from the 3.27s is great, but fuel economy, top speed and highway cruising RPMs suffer. I am still debating as to which would be better at the track.
