Re: How to cap off bypass valve?

no more power and will kill your milage and wear blower faster bypass only bypasses at low vacume or open throtle its to lessen strain on motor in low speed or none power situations = blower can take muncho power to run so bypassing boost leesons the power reqiured to turn blower to less than 1 horse from 60 under full boost.

vernon and I did it to mine. It gained about 1lb of boost. Gas mileage has stayed he same. So what mannysc is talking about, i don't know. It doesn't hurt anything.
If it is that bad, then why have so many people done it?

Stephen I believe you just capped the crosstalk tube as Fred calls it.

capping the Bypass would be a good thing at the track, but for driving around it wouldn't be that great as stated above. The bypass leaks like a SOB, it is a butterfly valve and doesn't seal very well. Use 2 caps and hose clamp's to seal it off at the track, you will probably pick up a few psi.
