I have an extrude honed return plenum, guess thats what it is called, the part that attaches to the intake manifold. I just got a randy baker intake system and no longer need it. I paid 150 to have it done. sell for 75.00

I just finished cutting apart and filling all the mindless "dents" in mine. Added 3/4" to the lower IC tube in the flat compressed section. Opened it up inside while it was cut apart as well.

Took out the one on the upper by the alternator and heavily gutted the IC inlet and outlet as well. Still modding a FF top to enlarge the throat. I will have it all back together next weekend.

I'd be reluctant to spend a lot on Extrude Honing of the IC tubes. I did mine a few years ago and it did nothing to my 1/4 mi times. My car wasn't a bit faster after. It may be a good idea if you have a heavily modded motor and are looking to run 11 or 12 sec 1/4 mi times but otherwise may be a waste of money. I was a bit disappointed in the results on my SC.

Mike,

Was it just the IC tubes? When I pulled mine apart, I notice the inlet plenum to the manifold had a horrid 3/8" casting flash line right around. Removing it substanially opened up the hole. The IC inlet an outlet were also very restrictive.

I removed that, too, and it does open it up a lot, but none of it showed up in my track times. I'm not saying to not bother to do it, just don't sink a lot of money into it because you won't see a big difference if any. It's not a cost effective mod unless your pumping lots of HP from the motor. Every little bit helps but this isn't a big performance gainer, at least that's been my experience.

Just remembered that I never posted any pictures. All the crap with the ex got me all messed up.

The finished IC tubes.

And after color. Look stock. IC tubes maintain a constant 2.5" or more on the inside.
