two quick and easy questions

first,i had my s/c top and upper ic pipe off today, and i noticed a light black oil in the piping and the top of the supercharger. now i had it apart last week and cleaned all of this out. my question is,what is it? its thinner than motor oil,and doesnt really smell like motor oil either. could it be supercharger oil? supercharger beat? could be why i'm only pushing 9lbs?

secondly. how stiff should the upper and lower radiator hose's get? the car temp gauge never makes it to the N,but while looking for intake leaks with the car hot i noticed that the hose seemed stiff, not hard like you couldnt squeeze it. niether the upper or lower were rock hard, but both were stiff. also niether were very hot. its a brand new cap(today) i cleaned the relief hose out so i know its not clogged. just curious.

The oil is usually engine oil sucked in through the pcv system.

And the hoses should be stiff that means they're holding pressure.
