Where can I get a Shop Manual / CD?

Ok, so I'm new to the SC thing. I like the car alot, but from the looks of this site I can tell I'm going to need a shop manual. What I want to know is, can I get a CD rom shop manual, or do I have to get a large book, what does everyone use? Should I just go to the dealership???
Troubleshooting my Cruise Control is surely not as easy as it was on a 66 Toronado that I owned...

The Ford supplier is Helm Incorporated, www.helminc.com .... for the older vehicles they may have a limited supply, and then only in paper format.
