Several questions -fuel/ignition

My 90 sc has the typical "bucking/miss" under boost. I had this problem 5-6 years ago and fixed it by installing magnacore plug wires. The same problem is back despite the fact the car has fewer then 7000 miles on it since that time. These wires still look like new. Could they be bad again?

My second question is about the fuel pump. The ford parts guy gave me a fuel pump which is the same part # as a normally aspirated T-bird. I know they make generic pump kits to fit many applications, but is the lph enough for the SC?

You could have a leak somewhere in the intake system.....

My 89 XR-7 was doing the same thing and we traced it down to a bad intake gasket on the pasenger side.....

With the engine running at idle, take a length of vacuum hose and put one end in your ear and run the other end along the sides of the intake manifold....

If you hear a hissing sound, you have found your leak.....

Also check you IC tubes and get some IC gaskets.....
