Having trouble making thread

I guess under my post count i'm still considered a newbie and i don't get on here often but i trying to make a thread and i keep getting...

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /usr/home/sccoaco/public_html/forums/includes/functions_search.php on line 197


i was able to make a reply but doesn't let me start thread...is there something i'm missing...thanks

Sounds like to me your memory is really, really tired, and only got as far as line 197..

Seriously though I come across that once in a while on some forumms I am a member of (not exactly, but close). Usually just waiting a few minutes and trying again works...

We have recently upgraded the software that runs the boards and have seen a few issues. It has nothing to do with your post count. Some information is in this thread:

We are looking at the issues will get them fixed as soon as possible. They do seem to be transient and hard to replicate.
