how come the other day we had it hooked up and I thought the scanner was telling me RPM,Rich or lean on banks 1/2,temp of engine, and much more but cant remember exactly.
Hooked what up. Depends on the scanner. Nothing setup for OBDI can try and read a data stream. Snap On has some units that can grab a datastream as later cars (for sure after 89) do have some info they can send back.
I witnessed a snap-on diagnostic tool reading eec-iv info (commanded injector pulse widths was one thign I saw) at the 2006 shoot-out. I believe it was a MT2500, but can't recall specifically. I know the 1989 EEC-iv is one of the most limited of all of them. The 94/95 are going to have the most capability.
