AOD Help: Changing 2-3 Accumulator Piston

Exactly what is the difficulty in doing this? How much is involved in doing this?
I assume the valve body needs to be removed.

If I decide to have a shop perform this, how long and/or how much with this cost?

is your car just hitting 2nd and then going into 3rd right away or is it not hitting 3rd?

It's shifting normally except that the 2-3 shift is like a slide then bump when going into 3rd.

have you pulled the pan to see if there is any debri in there from the stripping of gears?? check that out and if there is shavings then thats bad( dur) but if there isnt then put some lube gaurd in there along with a change of fluid and filter and start out with the shifter in L then shift it to drive when you want 2nd gear then after it hits 2nd pull the shifter back into L and hold 2nd gear...then shift it back to drive when ya want 3rd...your gunna have to do this for awhile( i think it was around 30 miles or so for mine and around 20 some in my cuzins bird) but it helps to unstick that valve and mine or his hasnt acted up since then. after awhile just periodically check to see if its back to normal by driving with the selector in D.. let us know whats goin on..
