To those who have the McLeod aluminum SC flywheel:

What did you do about resurfacing when you installed a new clutch?

It looks like the steel insert can be replaced, but is it necessary? Can you get it from McLeod?

My flywheel is about 6 yrs old with 20k miles on it, and I want to put a better than stock clutch in when I install my new motor.

Any info appreciated. Trying to iron down all possible roadblocks before I tear the car down this winter.

Just resurface it. Make sure the shop knows its a billet steel insert so they don't make a mess of it.
