Oil Pressure!

When I first started the SC, after the rebuild, the oil pressure gauge worked fine. Then, as I drove more and more, the gauge slowly went out.

It first started by working for a few minutes, then falling to 0. Then it would bounce back and forth, and fall to 0 for a few seconds. Now, if I rev the motor, it will show a reading, but once at idle, it stays at 0 with a slight twitch here and there.

I know the guage isn't accurate, but should I worry about this? I'm assuming it's just the sending unit that is bad, because if I didn't have constant pressure, there would be a tap, correct?

I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Thanks!

if you had no oil pressure you would know it in a few seconds. there would be some ungodly noises coming from your motor. iv had the stock gauge drop to zero before. i pulled over faster then i ever have. it was the little wire that ford slides on the sender. check that first and then buy an after market gauge. my gauge sat low an the after market one i put it reads 28 lbs and hot idle
