I have had much deliberation and it pains me greatly to have to do it. But my priorities are such that I cant afford to treat this car like I want to. I have another child on the way in October and need to re-organize my hobbies. This is a long description but I want full disclosure to the best of my ability.
Lengthy description and pics:
1990 Thunderbird SC Anniversary Auto
150,000 miles
Alabama rust free car
Arkansas Title free and clear and in my name
Car runs and drives better than I expected when I bought it
Things Ive done to the vehicle:
-New rotors, pads in front, lubed and checked the rear
-Non ABS conversion using Crown Vic MC, has drivable pedal but could use a new booster rod to be better.
-Put used 245-50-16's, good enough to drive for a while, but I would rate them at 10% usable tread remaining.
-Replaced AOD with used trans from another 90SC, (has correct internals) Shifts good when not floored, but has delayed engagement sometimes when really getting on it. Probably could use a filter/flush.
-Installed used working VMM
-Installed in dash CD player, its an el cheap o that has temperamental volume knob
-Kenwood 6.5 door speakers in adapter plates, need more power to them!
-Xenon rear deck spoiler installed, I planned on putting it down with more screws after paint, as im not fond of the tape method.
-replaced faulty alternator with good used unit.
-resealed upper IC tube, SC top. Makes good boost, I never push past 9PSI as I love driving it more than working on it.
-new battery, silver from Advance.
-replaced crank sensor, and installed good used balancer, (2K miles and still going strong)
-replaced faulty DIS with known good unit.
-installed new pilot fog lights on a dedicated relay
-installed mustang ignition lock cylinder
-Converted A/C to R134A, lasts a month or so on a charge, but leaks somewhere
Things the car needs:
*Front suspension needs attention, ball joints, strut rod bushings. Some strut rod bushings included, but not a complete set.
*Motor mounts are getting bad, they don't sit the engine on the K-member yet but are in need. 3 good used factory mounts included!
*fuel sending unit is flaky, sometimes fuel gauge works, sometimes not, I always go 250 miles then fill up to be extra safe, but the gauge seems to start working again near the end of a tank.
*front bumper is cracked up I HAVE A VERY VERY GOOD SHAPE 89 EMBOSSED SC FRONT BUMPER THAT CAN GO WITH THIS CAR FOR THE RIGHT PRICE!
*tires will need soon
*brakes could use some tweaking to be firmer, but are predictable.
*trans has some sloppy shifting when you are getting on it
*soft rubber section of trans cooler lines drips, nothing serious but would stain a nice garage floor.
*passenger side window needs help going up and down
*rear view mirror switch is verified bad
*drivers door latch area is cracked inside door jamb, and could use a touch from a welder
*interior has typical anniversary seat cracks, console lid floppy, several yucky spots on center console around shifter, and one dash crack. Door panels are nasty, but a decent used set comes with the vehicle.
*faded paint on top surfaces and typical dings throughout vehicle, but not rusty! The pics below kind of make it look better, but that was right after trying to clean it up. Make no mistake its rough around the edges.
Also comes with some extra parts if you want them:
a nice used hood removed from a 60K mile 93SC if you want, and a catless downpipe section with glass pack for a resonator (for offroad use only :-)
As for a price, I need to get $1100 for it without the extra front bumper, and $1300 for it with the bumper. SC embossed front bumpers in good shape are not easy (or cheap) to find.

You can see many more pics and sort of a photo diary of it on my web page here: (look on pages 4 and 5 for a better idea of current condition as I have done some cheap simple paint touch ups) http://johnnaas.com/Gallery/album01?page=1
