Looking for someone with a 94/95 and an 89-92 SC that would be able to donate some of his/her time to having a manufacturer take a look at their exhaust for potential aftermarket production of downtubes/center sections and exhausts in general.

Only request is that the exhaust is stock from the manifold to resonator.

This isnt a group buy or a new product..Just looking for a few good candidates for now

Thanks

Damon

Not that I'm close, but I have some comments.

1) you forgot the 93's
2) wouldn't a better grouping be 89-91 (early gas tank)?
3) I'm not familiar with the CAT configuration (2 or 3) on some of the later years, so I'm not sure how to group the rest.

I was assuming the 93 had the same engine height as the 94/95 and also had the later gas tank as well. This would make an exhaust pretty similiar. I have also seen 93-94 downtubes from Texas Thunderbirds being the same for 93-95

I guess a better question would be do the 94/95 have the same manifolds outlet locations as the 93's. Again being downtubes were produced for 93-95clumped together I assumed they do. Of course 94/95 have EGR.

Now 92 had the later model gas tank as well>? That would make the 92 an oddball year as it has the older style ABS and engine positioning but with the later model gastank.

The way I see it however there would most likely be two different manifold to resonator setups and two different resonator back setups that would need to be produced which Is why I chose 89-92(old style ABS and engine position) and 94/95 (new style ABS and engine position).

These are many of the main reasons noone sells exhausts for our cars. To many variables. If we keep it simple maybe we can get something out of it.

I'd like to see a nice manifold to resonator setup produced like Wynn was working on a year or so ago. Thsi seems to be teh hardest part for exhaust shops to fab up nicely for some reason.

Any other comments or any volunteers are welcome

Thanks Kurt

Just for clarification, the 92-95 SC gas tanks were the same.

I will let you know about using the 90. Does the 93 still have the exhaust?

there are some guys here around wichita with SC's. Don't know if any of them have stock exhaust or if it qualifies as central KS. I have Wynn's downtubes on mine with a different res.

Don't know if it'll help or not. But I've got a complete factory exhaust system (except downtubes) sitting in my backyard doing nothing. I'd gladly donate it to anyone who wants to come pick it up.

I will get back to you guys. I appreciate the feedback. Basically we have a manufacturer that is possably willing to produce exhaust components for us.

Being there are a few different combinations out there from the factory and a limited number of people that may actualy be interested in something we cant have a fit all application.

As mentioned before the way I see it is that there will be two different possable front sections produced, 89-92 and 93-95 and potentially one back half style using the 92 (thanks Kurt) and up gas tank. I'm pushing more for a bolt in front half (resonator foward) which I think will do us all the most good. Perhaps a two in two out option as well. The sizes may vary as well. Nothing is set in stone right now but I want to have the names of people to contact.

Again thanks everyone. I will let you know whats going on.
