I am having similar problems. The gauge isn't very accurate, and I noticed that it moves around while I am driving. Please help us.

Well......it is an electric gage so it reads where it reads when the iginition is off. If the tank is not full and it is pegged high it is possible the float is stuck. Mine started doing that when I put in a 255GPH fuel pump and if I try to overfill the tank.
To install the sender you need to drop the rear portion of the exhaust system....lower the driveshaft and drop the tank. Other than that make sure you have a NEW gasket when you pull the sender unit. The sender is part of the fuel pump assembly. I think you can buy just the sender unit but don't quote me on that. The attachment to the tank is made with a rotating bayonet fitting...basic a locking ring that hods the unit into the tank. When you lower the tank you will need to disconnect fuel and vent lines too as well as the filler neck connection.
The gage has an anti-slosh feature in the circuitry. If it was not there everytime you did a up or down hill level would change MUCH more than what you are observing. Takes about 4-5 minutes for level to settle out once you return to level stable driving.

Just so you know its usally the gauge itself that goes bad. Had this problem on 2 of my SC`s so far. If you replace the sender, put a new pump in at the same time because its on borrowed time. Mark
