That there is a beautiful car. Wonder what messed up the door there?? The floor mat looks pretty stained up under the pedals too... Might be able to knock off a buck or two on the price... :D

Wonder what messed up the door there??

A sagging door hinge will cause that. With that said, I find it hard to believe such a low mile car would have hinge problems, much less on the the passenger door. Although the car does look very clean.

You mean the spot on the top of the door? That's not a reflection, it's just what Kurt said it is. I have that on mine, the top corner of the door rubs right there as the door closes, creating the mark. It takes a bit of force to close the door too because when you close it, the door has to go upward along that scraped area, do to the sagging hinge. Yea, it's really weird that it is like that on the passenger door, and only on a car with 5,000 miles. Something probably happened to that door, causing the hinge to get ot of line.

My car had that rust proofing all over. You can take it off the paint no problem. It should come off the decals too....not too sure how well they will survive though.

What a horrible investment eh? You pay $20K for a car, never use it, hope to only lose $5K after 20 years.

Maybe they stored it with doors open as to not crush the door seal (ala Phil style).

how is thier rust bubbles in one of the last pictures. Also how is the steering wheel this bad. I dont think it was a 5k car, but it was cleaned up very nice.

I live right around the corner from East Longmeadow but I'm not going after it. I already have two SCs myself. East Longmeadow, Ma (in case you don't know) is a considered a prime residential community with high real-estate values (not that it matters). It wouldn't surprise me to find a car of this quality there but I'd still pull a carfax on it just in case.

Looks like a good one. A little strong on the price, though. I don't think the paint nick in the RH B-post is from the door hitting it. Looks like something bumped the car in storage. The steering wheel fade is due to time/age as far as I can tell; I don't think it's use-related. They also photograph worse than they look in person. As far as the undercoating; my car had something similar on/under it, although not to that degree. Mineral spirits will clean that right up with an afternoon of wiping and blasting with a hose. Follow up with some Simple Green, and it'd look like new.

I tend to believe the miles, even though I'd definately run a CarFax to confirm. The interior wear items are just too pristine to have much use. Also, the paint shine is great. I think the paint blemishes in the quarter panel is dirt in the paint, not rust. That would lead me to think that there's been a panel paint on this one, either at the factory or sometime after delivery. Although it could have come from the plant that way.

It'd be cool if a nearby member could do a first-hand look, just for curiosity-sake.

I'm no expert but take a close look at the water pump pulley, it's got lots of rust on it on the belt surface. What does that mean?

Also, funny name thing happen. I ran the phone number in the Ebay add through www.anywho.com reverse lookup and it came up with a funny name. Goodle pointed to something about a storage company but I'm no expert on these things. The Ebay's seller's name is MAssetRecovery.

I think there is something he is leaving out.

The scratch is definitely from the door hitting. Why?
The paint spot is a symptom of dry paint becoming dislodged in a gun while spraying. Could too be dirt, but I would lay money on the paint spatter.

Looks like he ran a www.autocheck.com report. Why doesn't he post that. It shows to have 7 items in that record. I did not pay to see it. Carfax only shows 2 items in the record.

It is nice. Would like to call it my own. But I can get a $5000 paint job to rival that one and come out ahead.

Nothing much to see from Car fax - I only consider carfax as an indication.

I wonder if this is an estate, or bankruptcy situation like that? Don't really care, but curious!

That stuff on the fender looks like its under the paint. You know not all cars are flawless with factory paint jobs. I've seen new cars with enough orange peel that it feels bumpy when you run your hand along the doors.

The pulley is probably rusted due to sitting and not being used. It'd probably clean up by running the engine for a while. The space in front could use a shot of paint.

The door pillar scratch looks like it's from a sagging hinge. Maybe it was stored with the doors open, they are heavy ~~~ doors, we all know that.

As for the storage company selling it, maybe its been abandoned or the owner who was storing it died and it became their property.

If they have a clear title for it, I'd buy it.
