I have one, but I don't have the pulley that matches it. I'm sure that it was good the last time the car was ran, and it's not damaged. If you want to try it out, you can have it for $20 plus shipping

I highly recommend NOT using a used HB. These balancers are notorious for flying apart after 60-90,000 miles, and almost always fail after they have been removed once or twice. Your call, but I recommend replacing with new. Or, for the difference, get a new neutral balance steel one that won't ever fail. Check out Supercoupe Performance.

I agree to an extent...hence the low price. :D However, my 89 has an original at 252k miles. But indeed, they wear out and fail. The aluminum hub on the stock ones another down-side of using a used one...it can distort when being removed. The one I have came off easily, but I can't make any promises.
In addition, if you haven't done the research yet, you'll need to check the balance of the pulley & balancer combo if you don't get a factory-matched set (or zero-balanced pulley and HB). Your call though!
