its at Ron's on Washington
http://www.ronsautoservice.net/

haven't been able to find any pics yet
(need to check another computer)

re engine: there was a "knock" at 2500+ rpm's for about 10 months...then a lot of metal noise when it let go on I-70 (still turns over, but sounds rrrough!)

I'm going to bet it spun a bearing and the crackshaft is shot. I would like to see pics of the car as well. scme@charter.net

2nd PM sent....:):)

ok, sorry - I was not aware of the "internal" PM system (I just assumed you had sent an email to my primary edress)

anyway, I can't find any pictures (had some on my old laptop -- now junked -- but apparently managed to lose them on there while transferring everything over to new laptop).

I'll see if maybe John at Ron's can take some pics for me.

anyway, let me try to clear up some things with words

first, I could probably find a "stock" pic of a '94 that matches what I have...but here's the "condition" info you may want:
- always kept it garaged so paint job looks bright and clean...from far away (people have asked if I ever drove it, when viewing it from a distance...)
- close up, tho, lots of cosmetic issues...like...
- rear bumper made contact w/ garage door about a 100 times;
- front bumper made contact with concrete or metal parking-garage walls about a 100 times (mostly the front plate holder made the contact);
- left side read quarter panel was scraped along concrete pillar in parking garage (while sick w/flu!);
- right side of car from front to back has a series of fine scratches induced by dragging garbage cans to curb b/t 2 cars
- driver-side mirror-housing scuffed up a bit
- spoiler and other areas of trunk scuffed by carrying bikes w/ trunk mounted bike rack
- manual part of sunroof shade is different color than rest of interior (replaced the old one that was missing when I bought it with whatever I could find)
- had an issue with my cruise shorting out due to rear-center break light wiring issue (had that wiring disconnected)
- had some issues with my engine/cooling fans; bought some used fans that have worked great since...
- pretty minor, but the back side of the "door" to the center console isn't quite right (not sure how to describe, but it hits the supporting structure on the under/right side when being opened)
- small cig burn mark on driver-side ceiling next to rear-view mirror
- it has dark tint on windows all the way around, but ice in door a couple of winters ago produced some scratches to the drivers-side tint

I hope I haven't forgotten anything, but that's the bulk of it...so...if you are still interested, please let me know
(meanwhile, I'll see if I can get some pics for you, just in case)

Also, yes, I have the the title here in Michigan...so can either mail it down to John at Ron's Auto...or will drive down to meet someone if its absolutely necessary (could then maybe bring the winter rims and Blizzaks if someone wanted to pay an extra $150 or so)

thanks for your interest,
Steve

How bad is the "scrape" ?
If you can get some pics, I'd hate to drive to Indy only to find it beat to death.
Thanks:cool:

definitely not "beat to death"
- the scrape on the side mainly took off paint but it did depress the metal maybe an eighth of an inch (maybe peaked at some point in there to a quarter inch...) but am not really certain. It's hard to even see from a distance, but up close you can easily see that I scraped a concrete pillar!

Did you ever consider keeping it out of the garage give your propensity for banging it up?

...actually...I enjoy the hell out of not worrying at all about the exterior of my cars -- too much bs going on in almost every area I drive/park to get all attached to cosmetics -- what I like is performance...and that car (2nd one, 1st was a 90SC just like it) was a totally awesome driving machine w/ near perfect balance for those all important drifting corners. And, of course, living in michigan gave me plenty of opportunity to get sideways in these cars w/o going over 35 mph or putting wear on the tires. It's all a simple matter of taking various routes thru the neighborhoods on the way to and from work...rather than using those big, straight, plowed, salted primary roads :-)

sorry, never found any pics

one thing I forgot to mention (thought of it when looking at other 94SC pics):
the wheels are silverish, with the swirled-shaped "spokes" and the small (~5 inch) hubcaps w/ the Tbird graphics on them
(also, the tires probably only have about 15,000 miles on them)

the person I have spoken with at Ron's Auto, John, told me once that they are generally not open on the weekends. However, I think he also told me that there are occasionally people there working at the shop on the weekend. So, if you want to drop by there and look at the car you should probably call John (at 317-248-0800) and arrange a time that works for both of you.
ok?
