Well, it's that time of year again, I recieved my registration form in the mail today for the National Parts Depot 2008 Silver Springs Ford & Mustang Roundup.
The info is:

Show Dates & Times
Main Show Event: Saturday-Sunday, January 12-13, 2008

FREE show registration deadline January 1, 2008
Day of Show registration: 7am-10am sharp, no late arrivals
Silver Springs park hrs: 10am to 5pm. no early departures
No overnight RV camping in Silver Springs parking lot

Heres a link to the registration form from the NPD website: http://www.npdlink.com/modules.php?name=Silver_Springs

Oh, and fair warning, My registration form came in the mail since I had gone to this show a while ago but the form looked like junk mail, it had absolutely no signs of being anything special. Just the flyer folded up with no return address printed on it. Mine almost didin't make it back from the mail box. So if you may have thrown it out it's best to print one up and send it out early since the first 1,000 cars to register recieve 2 free park admissions for the weekend of the show.

I'm pretty certian I'll be there since I have an SC again, this time I won't park out in the sea of mustangs:rolleyes:
Hope to see ya there!

Better send it in fast as the 1000 spots have been filling fast the last few years.

If a national Yak herding festival in Upper Mongolia doesn't interfere, I'm in.

Last year, the Yaks were uncooperative and the event was postponed, I hope things work out that way again this year. Unruly Yaks vs SC meet? Yes, I am not stupid, I choose SCs.

Dan,
You need to call them. If you sent it in right after Bryan, I sent mine in the day after he posted what number he was. You should have received confirmation by now.

I emailed NPD about it. I'll keep you posted when (if) I hear from them.

Here's the answer I got today on the issue;

Dan,
We received your registration and you are # 611. Confirmation
cards were mailed for your batch between 10/15-10/18, so it may have
gotten lost in the mail.

Derek

I sent a reply asking if I can get in w/o it.

Looks like I'll have to go to the Yak-a-Thon by myself......:(

Still loking for some good used Yaks since all of mine have been parted out and sent to the grinders.....

I heard that there will be some vendors selling NIB Yak parts, as well.....:p

Well I think it is time to talk about when to get to the park on Saturday. Looking back at last years Silver Springs post it seems that we arrived at the park at 9:00am. Is this a reasonable time for everyone who will be attending?

Bry...we going to meet at the dirt track on S.R. 40 as in prior years? What time? 8:00 to 8:15ish?

That would put us at the park around 9.

I was a great visiting with good friends with a few Mustangs thrown in:D It was pretty cool to meet two new SC owners also, Mark and another gentleman whose name I didn't get. This other gentleman was totally unaware of the SCCoA. I gave him a little information on the site and told him to stop on by.

Mark's 90 Anniversary was a piece of art. He really did a great job bringing it back to life. I was somewhat surprised to hear he was aware of the SCCoA but didn't really spend any time on the boards. I really hope he picked up an award for his car.

Now it's time to start planning for Waterford Lakes show. I'll be driving the SC and will need a driver for the Shelby. I don't think I can drive both at the same time:D

Sorry Guys I was unable to be out there to add more support to the SCCoA of Fl. Due to unexpected and lack of people that neglected to treat their patients at work, I ended up getting stuck treating 16 patients on saturday. Let me tell you. I realy enjoyed that. WRONG. I am glad to hear that everyone that went out had a good time. Believe me, my patients knew how much I wanted to be there. If anyone took a camera with them please post some pictures...When and where is the Waterford show. I will be attending that one.

It figures I miss another one but it is not a lot of fun to go to one of these with out an SC. I know I wont make the Waterford show but the car is getting close Im hoping the Bradenton Drag show in March and I will take it there without the interior. I got a call Thursday its all in primer but I was out sick all last week so I didnt want to go look at it. Theres a couple things Im sure are going to need to be done but it is very close. They got a guy in that knew how to work with the plastic bumpers so it ended the way I wanted with the 95 bumper cover.

Hope to see you all soon
