15 g's is worth it. 3800 miles. That car is still new pretty much.

I came across this in my search for Thunderbird SC. Turns out he is selling it so he can get a Thunderbird SC. I asked him some questions about it, and it turns out he is looking for an Annie 5 speed after he sells this. Not a bad looking car. A little surface rust. Interior is nice looking too. Someday I'd like to have a TC next to my SC.... Too bad the time isn't right.

Cool car. I used to have one of those until bought my LX. I'm looking for the sport version now. UNless I can get a really good deal on a supercharger for a 4.6

The last time this car was listed, everyone had questions about the area on the B-pillar where it looked like the door had contacted due to worn hinges. This didn't make any sense because of the low mileage. When it came back up on eBay, I emailed the seller and asked about the door hinge condition. Here is what he replied:

"Dear Sir,

The hinges are not loose. This is nearly new. If the doors have sagged to cause the contact with the B Pillar, then this has not been addressed. The owner says the door has been opened about 20 times. The hinges don't seem to be loose when lifting on the doors."

So, there you go. As I suspected, the paint damage is not related to sagging doors. Someone local to the car really should go check it out...

Ok but I still think the doors hit. One way or another.
I have a car in my driveway with the same exact mark and it WAS caused by sagging door. Why would this car have a problem with the passenger door? Only a closer inspection, like you say, will clear that up.

I live like 20 miles from this car. I'm not interested, I already have two. Funny thing happen to me the other day while I was gassing up my 95sc. Some guy started asking me about it and yada yada yada he said he had three of them and he unhooked the speedometer cable at the transmission to keep the mileage down….

Only one problem with that, NO CABLE these are electric
Unless he disconected the wires to the speed sensor.

sorry, I'm really not an expert car consultant. If you are interested in the car I recommend that you have it inspected by a professional.:)

Except for the nick at the top of the B-post, every detail in every photo screams "low mileage". There's no way someone fired a bunch of NOS parts at this car to sell it, then neglected to cover up the damage from a worn out sagging hinge. There may well be a story there, but it's only going to be discovered by a first-hand inspection. I can think of half a dozen ways that paint nick could have gotten on there besides a door strike, but it needs to be looked at in person. I'm too far away...

i agree, i think that mark is from sagging doors. not that the mileage isnt correct tho. maybe the hinges just went bad  either way, whoever buys the car will be very happy.
